  33. I agree that the Surfer pack is an excellent idea. The question is 
  34. whether or not Escom UK will get off their butts and stock them. Judging 
  35. by their current attitude towards them, I believe this to be unlikely. 
  36. There is SOME good news in that the box-shifters have been given some 
  37. incentive (the word they use is "SPIV" Sales <something> Incentive 
  38. <something>) to sell Amigas and 1438S monitors -check out my posting in 
  39. comp.sys.amiga.advocacy. They offer 25 quid for the team for every Amiga + 
  40. monitor sold. Not a massive amount, but the first positive step from 
  41. them.

  43. If you want to see a Surfer pack at your local Escom shop, don't enquire 
  44. -DEMAND! Tell them that the nearest Amiga stockist is quite a distance 
  45. away, and ask them to order some (don't listen to any crap about them 
  46. "not having the power" to do it -all Escom stores are able to order any 
  47. product from another source provided Escom Head Office has an account 
  48. with them). As they managed to get the A1200s from Amiga Technologies, it 
  49. follows that they ought to have an account. If we want Surfer packs to 
  50. sell, we must make sure that Escom UK don't mess up.
